Huffines, Managing Member of The Huffines Company LLC, owns a real estate brokerage, appraisal and mangement company in Walterboro, SC, and has partnered with three like firms in Charleston, SC, Beaufort, SC and Thomasville, Ga. Representing Sotheby's International Real Estate as South Carolina's Broker -in -Charge, Huffines set sales records in South Carolina and New Jersey. The Huffines Company is well known for its strides in land conservation, representing Buyers and Sellers in conservation transactions, appraising conservation easements, and teaching appraisal techniques. Calvert Huffines is now or formerly a board member of the South Carolina Historical Society, The Medical University of South Carolina's Children's Hospital, Brays Island Plantation, Ducks Unlimited Wetlands America Ace Basin Advisory Board, the ACE Basin NEER Board, Founding board Member of the Lowcountry Open Land Trust as well as Founding member of the bank of Walterboro Board of Directors. Calvert Huffines is a 1972 graduate of Clemson University and served as a member of the President's Council and the John C. Calhoun Restoration Committee. Calvert huffines and his wife, Madeline have two children, Hannah Auffines Amick from Atlanta, Calvert W. Huffines, Jr. from Edisto Beach, SC and a grandson, Hayes Robert Amick living with his parents in Atlanta. Calvert Huffines lives with his wife on their farm in Green Pond, SC

Calvert Huffines enjoys hunting, fishing and sailing. He and his wife, Madeline have raised and trained a number of hunting golden retrievers. His family was in the horse business for many years, training and showing hunter-jumpers, quarter horse cutting horses, welsh ponies and thoroughbred race horses. Calvert Huffines was an Honorary Whipper-In with the Aiken Hounds
